Beside my work as a Costume Designer and Artist, I offer a bespoke costume-making and historical dressmaking service for performers, re-enactors and individuals who are looking for that special piece to complement their wardrobe.

How to get started?

Contact me with a brief outline of your ideas, your budget, and your deadline. I’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible.

I will invite you to a consultation where we can discuss your ideas, special requirements, your deadline, potential fabrics and materials. Your measurements will be taken in the same session. The consultation is free of charge, so don’t worry if you are not sure yet.

Following the consultation, you will receive a design sketch with a detailed quote outlining everything we discussed. When you are happy with the design and specifics, send me a confirmation and the deposit, and I’ll book you into my diary.

Next time we see each other, is for the first fitting. By then I’ll have made a toile, a so called mock-up, to check the cut, the design and the fit. If you want to make any changes to the design, this is your moment. Once we agreed and you are happy with the toile, you can choose the final fabric and the decorations.

I’ll then make your outfit in the final fabric and you’ll have another fitting to ensure that everything fits perfectly before the garment receives the finishing touch.

And then… the much-anticipated day. Your garment is ready for collection!

To make sure that everything is just right, I’ll invite you to try on your outfit, and once I received the final payment, you can take it home.

I look forward to hearing from you.
